BEGGING for EVERYONE

“You know how to give and yet you have never learned how to receive. You still lack one thing. Become a beggar. This is what you still lack. Learn how to beg.”[1]

Pope Francis uttered these words to Engr. Rikki Macolor. He complimented Macolor for his contribution to the Yolanda survivors. Macolor invented portable solar night light for the survivors’ uses. Upon reflecting this statement, it brings me to a realization of what I am now. Being a seminarian considers to be a privilege and a curse. This new identity would might corrupt my real nature as human being. Privileges have offered pleasure, leisure and laxity. Everyone longs for these allurements in this world of confusions, conflict and etc. If I let myself fallen on this temptation, my existence will be a curse to others. Begging is a form of humility when it is grounded in the spirit of satisfaction. This will reflect on the sensitivity of everyone who aspires to be a servant of all servants. Everyone should continue to put this humility into a concrete form. To beg for goodness to all not for the self only
